A Proven Record of Service
James Klock serves as an Assistant District Attorney and felony supervisor in the Lafayette Parish District Attorney's Office and as an Adjunct Instructor of Business Law at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
James began his career in Lafayette City Court as a contract public defender while growing his private law firm. His career has come around full circle as he now prosecutes state conflict cases in City Court.
James will bring to the bench an even temperament and balanced perspective; having served as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, a civil and criminal lawyer, in federal and state courts, and in public service and private practice as a business owner.
Educator & Scholar
Adjunct instructor of business law at ULL. Holds a master's degree in finance and an economics degree in international trade and finance.
Community Focused
Current Kiwanis Club board and member of multiple professional organizations. Past board and advisory service for Fightinville neighborhood association, I-49 Connector Group, and Junior League.
